Eurocode 8 Design earthquake action during construction phase

Description:
Calculation of the reduced earthquake ground acceleration applicable during the construction phase of the structure as a function of the duration of the construction stage (applicable for any type of structure, not only bridges)
According to:
EN 1998-2:2005+A2:2011 Annex A
Supported National Annexes:
No Nationally Defined Parameters (NDPs) in the calculation
All Calculations

days
It is recommended that the value does not exceed 0.05.
years
The typical value is 475 years which corresponds to the return period of the design action applicable to the majority of structures considered to be of average importance.
It depends on the seismicity of the region with values normally ranging between 0.30 and 0.40. Lower values produce more conservative results.
